Jarrad Catley
Assistant Vineyard Manager
Born and raised on a farm in Hawkes Bay, Jarrad Catley has always had an interest in the horticultural sector. Upon completing a Certificate in Practical Horticulture at the Eastern Institute of Technology in Hawkes Bay, Jarrad began his career in orcharding. He later completed a course in basic viticulture operations and took a position in the vineyard at Delegat’s Wine Estate. During his five years with Delegat’s, Jarrad was part of a team that converted 1000 acres of Hawkes Bay farmland into a vineyard.
In 2003, Jarrad joined Paritua as Assistant Vineyard Manager. Working with Richard Menzies, Vineyard Manager, plus a growing team of vineyard staff, Jarrad played a key role in the conversion of a picturesque sheep and cattle farm on Maraekakaho Road into what is now known as Paritua Vineyards.
During his years at Paritua, Jarrad has also completed his National Certificate in Advanced Viticulture, giving him the technical knowledge to assist in the management of the vineyard.
